Made from the finest sugarcanes in Maharashtra, Rural Treasures’ Cane Jaggery Powder is a 100% natural, unrefined, unbleached jaggery powder that does not contain any added preservatives, added sugar, artificial colours, additives or any other type of chemical. The sugarcanes, sourced from local hand selected farmers, are converted into jaggery using ancestral techniques passed from generation to generation. This results in an easy-to-use soft powdered jaggery that is replete with essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
Blood purification:Jaggery cleanses the blood, ridding it of toxins; thus, it enables the healthy functioning of organs. It is rich in iron that helps restore hemoglobin levels. Purified blood and improved blood circulation help treat pimples and results in healthy glowing skin.
Winter warmth:Eating jaggery in winter (in moderation) provides the required calories to keep the body warm and guard it against the cold.
Digestive agent:Jaggery activates digestive enzymes and itself changes to acetic acid within the stomach, thereby inducing quick, smooth digestion and reducing the strain on the intestines.
Enhanced immunity:Jaggery is loaded with antioxidants and minerals, such as zinc, selenium and magnesium, which help prevent free-radical damage—a condition that has been linked to many chronic diseases from type 2 diabetes to certain types of cancer. This ultimately boosts immunity.
Improved metabolism:Potassium and sodium in jaggery help maintain the electrolyte balance and enhance metabolism.
Joint pain reliever:It strengthens the muscles and is a great joint pain reliever, preferably when consumed with ginger.

WHAT IS CANE JAGGERY MADE OF?
Our cane jaggery is made from pure sugarcane juice. The juice is filtered into a large flat-bottomed iron vessel, boiled over mild to medium heat and manually churned. Once the juice attains a dough or honey-like consistency, it is transferred into wooden trays. The sticky jaggery is flattened with a wooden roller and scraped with wooden forks and spatulas as it cools. This gives us granulated jaggery pieces which are then sieved and separated based on the size of the granules. The result is a sweet nutrient-rich fine powder that you can easily incorporate into your daily cooking.
IS IT CHEMICAL-FREE?
Our cane jaggery is free of any preservatives, chemicals and additives of any kind. It is not subjected to refining, bleaching or any other form of chemical processing and hence, we can proudly say it is chemical-free.
